AP Physics 1 is a comprehensive, college preparatory program. This course provides a survey of basic physics principles using Algebra and Trigonometry. A strong emphasis is placed on inquiry-based lab experiments, projects and analytical calculations. It is also expected that students continue to build strong study and critical thinking skills. The course will cover basic science principles, kinematics, projectile motion, work and energy, energy sources, momentum, rotational motion, circular motion, gravitation, topics in astronomy, simple harmonic motion, some electrostatics, electricity, and waves. I look forward to learning more about our world together! Please don't be shy about asking questions.

Simple Harmonic MotionUsing Physics to understand everyday phenomena like children on a swing can be empowering. We will explore the conceptual topics within simple harmonic motion as well as describe objects in motion with the equations of motion.
|
E & MWe will study energy sources and its transformations between forms as a main theme.
